Diversity, Codeword “Racism”

Alec Weisman, Editor-in-Chief

HDH isn’t racist, they’re just embracing diversity… I guess that is what the Koala should have said last year…

Or maybe it’s just ok because it’s HDH (Housing & Dining Services) supports sustainability & are a coercive state run monopoly that mandates that anyone who lives on campus MUST buy meal points.

Seriously though, all I can say is that I wish the hypocrisy would end. Racism must be defined as a superiority complex whereby people perceive themselves or their group as being superior to another group of people. However, those quick to shout “Racist” need to understand that stereotypes, history, & humor should be understood in a context which is not necessarily racist but is often a reflection of human conceptions or misconceptions… To allow one group that you support to use the same stereotypes that you attack another group of people for mocking, all you do is reveal your own ignorance, bigotry, and hypocrisy.

  1. What I learned from Black History Month at UCSD: all black people are from the Southern United States.

Speaking of the Koala, are they ever going to publish a new issue? Or have they been thoroughly and secretly squashed by the administration?

  2. Maybe you should report this “bias incident” at the Chancellor’s new pet thought police site:
